IS VALENTINE WRONG?

Latest update

We all know the story of Valentine and for me its very inspiring. Its a thing of pity that people only saw the romantic side of the story, the story itself is not only  based on romance but is based on giving . That's where Val gift originated from. But we as humans will only accept what suits us.  Giving  to someone we know is dear to us, someone who giving to them is more like an investment, someone who will either always be there or will be around us  for a long time suits us. We think of it that in  the long run we aren't losing anything. This shouldn't be so. We should give to people generally whether we're getting something back in return or not. Giving to get something back in return ISN'T GIVING its EXCHANGE. Guys have this mentality that if they're to buy something really nice for their lover she should be able to reciprocate that love in bed. But when I read the valentine story, I didn't see romance as the main message, I saw giving. I saw loving, I saw caring, I saw impacting lives. I saw selflessness, I saw commitment, I saw a similitude to the kind of love God would want His children to exhibit.

Now back to the question :
IS VALENTINE WRONG?

For christians: I would say no it isn't. The motives were right but imagine if satan didn't penetrate into it. It will be a day when the poor are merry, a day when people feel loved, a day where the forgotten are remembered, even prisoners will know this day, it will be a day when Jesus will be fed because His brethren are fed,  there may not have been spiritual significance of its own but because God owes no man nothing there will be baskets of reward. We know alms also come before God as a memorial.   This kind of thing will result to dimensions of blessing. It will reveal the mysteries of giving. The scary part is that unbelievers would key into this and get results.  satan couldn't have allowed  that so he turned tables. So now, the unbelievers are committing immorality and  the so called spiritual Christians see valentine as the hour of satan. Paying attention to details broadens the horizon. This is my perspective on valentine.

Is Valentine demonic?
I think not!
